Temporary traffic deviation on road between Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)

The Namibian Road Authority (RA) has announced that a new temporary traffic deviation on the Windhoek <> Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) road upgrade project is in place since 17 October 2024.

The affected area starts about 3 kilometres east of the current temporary airport turnoff and about 0.4 kilometres west of the M51 road turnoff. The deviation will channel traffic around the construction site and will be in effect until July 2025. According to the RA, road signs have been installed to guide motorists through the temporary routes.

Travellers on their way between Windhoek and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) are advised to allow for an extra five minutes of travel time.
