Starting on March 30, 2025, Emirates is set to introduce a third non-stop service connecting Dubai and Melbourne. This new route will utilize the airline's newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, which features a sophisticated four-class configuration, including a sought-after Premium Economy section, elevating the travel experience for passengers.

Enhanced Capacity and Comfort for Travelers

The retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER is designed with passenger comfort in mind, featuring an impressive layout that includes 8 First Class Suites, 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy seats. This enhancement not only increases capacity but also significantly improves the overall travel experience for all classes of service.

Convenient and Flexible Flight Schedules

Emirates' new flights, designated as EK404 and EK405, will provide travelers with greater flexibility, thanks to optimized departure times that facilitate seamless connections to an extensive network of 27 European destinations. This thoughtful scheduling ensures that both leisure and business travelers can easily plan their journeys without the hassle of long layovers.

Premium Features Across All Classes

Passengers flying in Business Class can look forward to a host of premium features, including flatbeds, private mini-bars, and large 23-inch HD screens for entertainment. Meanwhile, the Premium Economy section is designed to offer travelers luxurious leather seating with generous recline and ample legroom, making long-haul flights more enjoyable.

Transition from Dubai-Singapore-Melbourne Route

This new service will replace the existing Dubai-Singapore-Melbourne route, with Emirates providing alternative arrangements for affected passengers to ensure a smooth transition. The introduction of this additional flight reflects Emirates’ commitment to restoring pre-pandemic capacity in Australia, with the airline now offering a total of 77 weekly services to five Australian cities.

Strengthening Economic Ties and Tourism

In addition to the new Melbourne service, Emirates has also reinstated its second service to Perth and resumed operations to Adelaide, further bolstering tourism, trade, and economic connections between the UAE and Australia. The ongoing UAE-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), alongside the established Qantas-Emirates codeshare partnership, continues to enhance connectivity and collaboration between the two nations. Through these expanded operations and improved services, Emirates is not only enhancing travel options for passengers but also contributing to the growth of tourism and economic activity in both countries. With a focus on comfort, convenience, and connectivity, Emirates is poised to make significant strides in the aviation landscape, ensuring that travelers enjoy a premium flying experience.
