Emirates Partners with Air Peace to Expand Nigerian Connectivity
Emirates Airlines has signed a strategic interline agreement with Air Peace, enabling enhanced connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Nigeria. This partnership expands Emirates’ footprint in Nigeria, giving travelers access to 13 additional cities with seamless single-ticket travel and simplified baggage connections, according to a statement by the airline’s media consultant in Nigeria.
Passengers flying with Emirates from Dubai to Lagos can now enjoy onward connections to key domestic destinations, including Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri. Corporate travelers will also benefit from improved access to major Nigerian cities, such as the capital Abuja, Kano, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Warri, further supporting the strong bilateral trade relationship between Nigeria and the UAE.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President, described the partnership as a major milestone in the airline’s long-standing collaboration with Nigeria’s tourism, trade, and aviation sectors. “This partnership with Air Peace is the next step in bolstering connectivity, offering more travel options for corporate and leisure travelers, as well as those visiting friends and family to and from Nigeria,” Kazim noted. He also expressed optimism about deepening the strategic partnership with Air Peace in the future to enhance passenger benefits even further.
Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olajide, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Air Peace, echoed similar sentiments, calling the partnership a significant step toward enhancing global connectivity for Nigerian travelers. She highlighted that this agreement aligns with Air Peace’s mission to provide seamless, world-class travel experiences while expanding its international reach.
Olajide added, “This collaboration not only expands Air Peace’s international footprint but also offers Nigerians arriving from Dubai easy access to key domestic destinations such as Asaba, Akure, Benin City, and more. By improving ease of travel, we are boosting business, tourism, and trade opportunities, thereby strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and the UAE.” She also stressed the importance of this partnership in positioning Nigeria as a critical hub for regional and global travel.
Emirates operates the Dubai-Lagos route with its luxurious Boeing 777-300ER, offering passengers a premium travel experience, including one of the few First-Class services available on flights to Lagos. Meanwhile, Air Peace complements this partnership by providing seamless domestic and international connections with its diverse fleet of aircraft, including Airbus 320s, Boeing 737s, Boeing 777s, and Embraer jets.
For African travel agents, this partnership presents an exciting opportunity to offer clients enhanced connectivity, convenience, and world-class services. By linking Emirates’ extensive global network with Air Peace’s domestic and regional routes, travelers can access a broader range of destinations while enjoying a seamless and efficient travel experience.
This collaboration underscores both airlines’ commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s aviation sector, unlocking business, trade, and tourism opportunities, and providing greater connectivity and efficiency for passengers. With this agreement, Emirates and Air Peace reinforce their roles as key players in Nigeria’s growing travel market, offering expanded options for travelers and supporting the country’s position as a hub for regional and global travel.
