Swimming Pools Open Across Durban
In addition to the beaches, Durban boasts 40 swimming pools that are currently open to the public. These facilities provide an alternative for those looking to enjoy water-based activities in a controlled environment. The municipality has encouraged residents and tourists to make use of these pools, particularly in areas where beach closures may limit swimming options.

The eThekwini Municipality has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of Durban’s beaches and public facilities. Regular updates on the status of beaches and pools will continue to be provided as conditions change.
