Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially launched its first dual-branded project in Africa with the opening of Hyatt Place Nairobi Westlands and Hyatt House Nairobi Westlands. Strategically located along Lower Kabete Road in Nairobi’s vibrant Westlands district, the two hotels offer a unique blend of contemporary comfort and residential-style living, catering to both short-term and extended-stay guests. This milestone marks a significant expansion of Hyatt’s footprint in Africa, providing travelers with more options for comfort and convenience in the Kenyan capital.

The dual-branded concept allows guests to choose between two distinct experiences. Hyatt Place Nairobi Westlands is designed for short stays, offering casual comfort with 168 modern guest rooms, including 18 spacious suites. Each room is equipped with a 55-inch HDTV and flexible workspaces, making it ideal for business and leisure travelers alike. On the other hand, Hyatt House Nairobi Westlands caters to long-term guests with 57 well-appointed studios and one-bedroom apartments, each featuring a fully equipped kitchen. Additional conveniences include a self-service laundromat and grocery shopping services, ensuring a home-away-from-home experience for extended stays.

Shared amenities across both properties include all-day dining options, grab-and-go services, a 24/7 fitness center with panoramic views of Karura Forest, an outdoor pool, and free WiFi. The hotels are also among the few pet-friendly accommodations in Nairobi, catering to a growing demand for inclusive hospitality. Business travelers will appreciate the 8,514 square feet (791 square meters) of flexible meeting space, which includes four meeting rooms and a boardroom equipped with state-of-the-art technology, making the hotels a prime choice for corporate events and conferences.

This dual-branded project delivers an exceptional guest experience, blending comfort, convenience, and local culture in the heart of Nairobi’s vibrant Westlands district.”

The hotels’ location along Lower Kabete Road offers easy access to some of Nairobi’s top attractions, including Westgate Mall, the Nairobi National Museum, and Karura Forest. This makes the properties ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the proximity to Nairobi’s business district ensures convenience for corporate guests, while the city’s thriving arts and entertainment scene adds to the vibrant experience for visitors.

Dining at the hotels is a standout feature, with menus curated by Executive Chef John Muriithi. Guests can enjoy breakfast at Zing - World of Flavours, which offers a fusion of African and European cuisines. Signature dishes such as Sous Vide Octopus and Compressed Apple with Crispy Duck showcase the culinary creativity on offer. For a more relaxed setting, H-Bar serves light bites, craft cocktails, and local beers, providing a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.
