Nearly 40 participants, divided into teams, tackled real-world challenges across various railway disciplines, including track maintenance, locomotive operation, rolling stock management, and infrastructure development. This hands-on approach provided invaluable experience, allowing participants to apply their newly acquired skills to address practical issues and contribute innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

One standout project focused on improving the operational excellence of Camrail’s BB1100 locomotives. The team identified electronic issues as a major cause of incidents, accounting for 49% of all reported problems. They proposed replacing obsolete electronic components with modern electronic boards, a solution projected to reduce incidents by 30%. This innovative approach not only addresses a critical operational challenge but also highlights the program’s effectiveness in fostering technical problem-solving skills among young professionals.

The program’s comprehensive curriculum included modules on project management, safety management, leadership development, and railway operations.
