Uganda Showcases Tourism Potential at Africa’s Travel Indaba
Uganda took center stage at the 41st edition of Africa’s Travel Indaba in Durban, showcasing its rich tourism offerings to a global audience of industry professionals and media. Led by Mrs. Doreen Katusiime, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, the Ugandan delegation presented a united front, highlighting the country’s diverse attractions and investment opportunities.
The Indaba, renowned as one of Africa’s premier tourism trade shows, provided a dynamic platform for Uganda to connect with key buyers and media representatives from around the world. The delegation, comprising representatives from the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), and 17 private tour operators, showcased the “Pearl of Africa” as a must-visit destination, emphasizing its unique blend of cultural heritage, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes.
This year’s theme, “Unlimited Africa,” resonated strongly with Uganda’s tourism vision, emphasizing the importance of intra-African collaboration, purpose-driven travel, and robust regional partnerships.
