Kids travel to South Africa has been eased
New government – new approach: The South African government has eased access for children travelling to South Africa or having a transfer at one of the South African Airports.
Effective November 2019, foreign children no longer require supporting documents to be presented upon arrivals. However, South African children holding South African passports must produce the documents on request; this includes as well all unaccompanied minors regardless of their nationalities.
The South African tourism sector was struggling during the last years. One reason were obviously the strict immigrations rules for minors which had been originally implemented to avoid any kind of child trafficking into or beyond South Africa.
