Air Senegal's second Airbus A330-900neo has arrived. The brand new aircraft was received Tuesday, December 3, 2019 by Alioune Sarr, the Senegalese Minister of Civil Aviation in Airbus workshops in Toulouse. The aircraft landed at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar yesterday.

Equipped with RollsRoyce's Trent 7000 engines, the aircraft can seat 290 passengers in a 32-seat configuration in Business class, 21 seats in Premium class and 237 seats in Economy class. The A330neo will serve the route Dakar - Marseille - Barcelona, ​​scheduled for December 2019. It will also provide flights from Dakar, and to New York and Washington, scheduled for July 2020. In addition to Paris, currently served, Air Senegal plans future international routes to Geneva in Switzerland, and London to England.

Recall that Air Senegal, which started its commercial operations only in 2018, also operates 2 Airbus A319s and 2 ATR72-600s. It currently serves 13 destinations in 12 countries, and is targeting Accra, Lagos and Abuja by the end of the year.
