Africa World Airlines (AWA) continues to expand its wings in West Africa. The carrier, based in Accra, has announced the opening of a new line to Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire.

As of 14th of February 2020, Africa World Airlines will operate six times per week between Accra and Abidjan. The airline, which recently reported a 97% schedule reliabilty for the month of November 2019, has announced also the flight times - all flights be be operated as daylight flights.

Abidjan is the tenth destination of the company. After seven years of operation, the carrier operates an exclusive fleet of eight Embraer E145s. These cover the entire network which includes five domestic lines (Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale and Wa) and four cities in the sub-region, namely Monrovia (Liberia), Lagos and Abuja (Nigeria) and Freetown in Sierra Leone.
