ASKY brings in a new B737-800
ASKY took delivery on Thursday 12 December 2019 of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The aircraft, arriving from Addis Ababa, landed at 3.30 p.m. this afternoon at Lomé International Airport. ETAXI registered (msn 35289), it can accommodate up to 154 passengers, configured in 16 seats in Business class and 138 seats in Economy class. With this new acquisition, ASKY now has an exclusive fleet of eight Boeing 737s (including five 737-700 and three B737-800) and one Bombardier Dash8-400. An asset that will allow it to strengthen and expand its network.
Currently the market leader in Central and West Africa in terms of cities served in 20 African countries, the carrier recently opened a route to Johannesburg in South Africa. from Douala (Cameroon) and Libreville (Gabon). It announced the opening of flights to Cape Verde from April 2020. In the same vein, it is also eyeing other niches on the continent and outside. "We are exploring the East African region and other markets such as Dubai, Lebanon and Paris.
