Air Seychelles receives secon A320neo
Air Seychelles' second Airbus A320neo will arrive in April 2020. This was revealed by the national company of the Republic of Seychelles last week.
The aircraft will have capacity of 168 seats (12 seats in business class and 156 in Economy class). In addition to operating costs, it will significantly reduce the nation's flagship carbon footprint. The new aircraft will be named after an endangered bird on the island, a way for the company to draw attention to the dangers that undermine wildlife.
The delivery of the second A320neo "will be an integral part of Air Seychelles' business transformation plan, linked to the complete update of the aircraft fleet. In addition to operating the most technologically advanced aircraft in the region, Air Seychelles will also maintain in 2020 the youngest fleet of modern aircraft in the Indian Ocean, positioning itself as the airline of choice in the region.
Air Seychelles has become the first African company to operate an A320neo, equipped with new generation LEAP-1A engines. It is currently deployed on the company's network, bound for Port Louis (Mauritius), Mumbai (India), Johannesburg (South Africa) and Tel Aviv (Israel).
