JetBlue carbon neutral by July 202
JetBlue Airways said they will become the first U.S. airline to commit to offsetting its emissions from all of its domestic flights in order to be carbon neutral by July 2020.
JetBlue Airways follows the example of UK low cost carrier EasyJet, which announced in November 2019 that it would become carbon neutral as well.
"We reduce where we can and offset where we can't. By offsetting all of our domestic flying, we're preparing our business for the lower-carbon economy that aviation -- and all sectors -- must plan for," the chief executive officer of JetBlue, said.
