Joe Ghartey, the Minister of Railway Development in Ghana recently noted that an approximate USD130 million had been approved for the procurement of 30 trains for the standard gauge line from China.
Amandi Holdings Limited has signed the USD500 million contract with the Railway Development Ministry for the construction of the Western Railway Line between Takoradi Harbour and Huni Valley. The contract will now be sent to be approved by Cabinet. Construction is expected to begin towards the end of the year. Although, this is dependent on the impact of COVID-19.
