Air Madagascar will not operate until 30th of June
Air Madagascar extends the suspension of international flights until June 30. The company has updated its activities in light of the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic in Madagascar. The country currently has 1094 confirmed cases of the disease, 254 cures and 9 deaths, according to a recent report.
In the press release made public on June 4, the carrier indicates that the deadline could be extended again depending on the development of the health situation, the directives given by the Malagasy State and the measures taken by the governments of the countries served by the company.
The flights affected by this suspension are those from Antananarivo to Mauritius, Moroni in the Comoros, Reunion and Dzaoudzi in Mayotte, as well as those to Saint-Denis from Toamasina, Sainte-Marie, Taolagnaro and Toliara. On the intercontinental, Paris, Marseille and Guangzhou remain without connection to Ivato airport until at least July.
Air Madagascar reminds that repatriation or Cargo flights are not affected by this suspension. It is since March 20 that the Malagasy carrier interrupted its international connections.
