Nigeria puts block on domestic flight restart
Nigeria domestic operations are now banned until further notice. Currently, special flights can still be conducted to other airports under current procedures with the permission of the NCAA.
The resumption of domestic services was initially planned be launched from five airports only - Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport (DNAA/ABV) in Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport (DNMM/LOS) in Lagos, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (DNKN/KAN) in Kano, Port Harcourt International Airport (DNPO/PHC) and Sam Mbakwe International Airport (DNIM/QOW) in Owerri.
The ban on international air travel remains in place; however, repatriation, cargo and special flights remain exempt from the ban.
