Guinea opens air space to international aviation
The Guinean government as given a nod for the country’s airspace to be opened to international operation as global economies gradual ease travel restriction.
According to a statement issued by the Principal Police Commissioner of Conairy Gibénsia Airport, Mr Sangaré Abdoulaye, all passengers holding Schengen area passports will not be admitted into the country regardless of the countries of origin.
“Air borders will be gradually reopened from 17 July 2020, depending on the implementation of the chosen health provisions and procedures, and in accordance with the principle of reciprocity between countries of origin and destination.” It was in these words that Guinean President Prof. Alpha Condé announced the reopening of his skies to international flights".
“The application of the said reciprocity was notified to the heads of call of the companies that serve the country, on 21 July by the special commissioner of the airport of Conakry Sangaré Abdoulaye. In application of the principle of reciprocity enacted by the Guinean government; I have the honour to inform you that passengers holding Schengen area passports will not be admitted at our borders regardless of the countries of origin. While those holding Guinean residence permits will be admitted.”
