To do this, the Nigerien national company plans to acquire a Fokker 50. According to the report of the Council of Ministers of Friday July 24, 2020, it requested approval for the benefit of the special provisions of the Investment Code for the acquisition of this new aircraft.

"The Council of Ministers examined and adopted the draft decree granting the benefit of the advantages of the conventional regime of the special provisions of the Investment Code to the company" Niger Airlines "for the acquisition of a 50-seat Fokker aircraft for transport airlift of people and goods. The granting of the authorization will notably allow the said company to contribute to the strengthening of the operational capacities of Niger in terms of the organization of pilgrimages ", the document states.

With the arrival of this aircraft, the carrier will now have three Fokker 50s (the only aircraft in its fleet). It is thanks to the first two that the company serves the Nigerien cities of Agadez, Dirkou, Maradi and Zinder, from the Diori Hamani international airport in Niamey. In its growth plans, the company plans to operate in West and Central Africa. It is also considering flights to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to regular transport, it also offers cargo services, charter flights, private flights and medical evacuations. Founded on July 31, 2012, Niger Airlines fills the void left by the defunct Air Niger. The private company has a capital of 2 billion FCFA.
