Gabon: Afrijet obtains its IOSA certification
Afrijet complies with the requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The private Gabonese company has just obtained its IOSA (Iata Operational Safety Audit) certification, announces the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
Valid for a period of two years, renewable, this certification confirms the Gabonese carrier's uncompromising adherence to global safety standards. Afrijet has, in fact, met the conformity assessments of over 980 Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPS) by the IOSA program in eight operational areas.
Founded in 2004, the company serves from Leon M'ba international airport in Libreville, Douala and Yaoundé in Cameroon, Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pointe-Noire in Congo and the island of Sao Tome. It also flies to the Gabonese cities of Franceville and Port-Gentil. Due to the restrictions linked to Covid-19, only its Libreville - Port-Gentil route is currently functional.
Afrijet is now one of the most dynamic in Central Africa, operating a fleet of three ATR72s and one ATR42.
