Cabo Verde Connect Services (CVCS) enters the international market
Cabo Verde Connect Services will open its first international route (to Portugal) on December 2. The young Cape Verdean company will use the fleet of the Portuguese carrier Azores Airlines for its first operations. It also targets France and the United States.
Cabo Verde Connect Services (CVCS) announced this Tuesday, November 10, the opening of its first international line. The company created last year by Lease Fly - a Portuguese aircraft rental company in partnership with Newtour Group and Cabo Verde Airlines (CVA) - will open a Praia-Lisbon route on December 2. The weekly rotation between the Cape Verdean and Portuguese capitals will be operated with the A320 / A321neo fleet of the Portuguese carrier Azores Airlines.
Initially launched to connect the various Cape Verde islands, CVCS is also targeting Paris in France, and Boston in the United States, "where the largest Cape Verdean communities reside". All these destinations will soon be connected to the islands of Santiago, São Vicente and Sal. "We believe in the potential of the routes we sell, and we are convinced of the quality of service we can provide to our business partners," said Mário Almeida, one of the directors of CVCS.
By expanding internationally, Cabo Verde Connect Services presents itself as Cabo Verde Airlines' main rival. Moreover, the first 3 destinations targeted by CVCS are part of the network of the Cape Verdean national airline. For now, Cabo Verde Airlines has only relaunched its domestic trips and those to Portugal.
