Etihad Airways partners with SITA to trial facial recognition for cabin crew check in

Etihad Airways announced (24-Nov-2020) a partnership with SITA to trial facial recognition technology for cabin crew check in at the Abu Dhabi International Airport crew briefing centre.

The technology will allow cabin crew to complete check in procedures and mandatory security and safety questions via their personal mobile devices, replacing the kiosk based check in process which requires staff identity cards. The trial will continue until Feb-2021.
