Proflight pays 4% commission in South Africa Proflight pays 4% commission in South Africa

Airline commission has become a rare item, especially since COVID-19 struck. But while many other airlines are taking the opportunity to completely remove commission from the agents who sell their products, one at least is bucking that trend. Proflight Zambia acknowledges how important agency partnerships are for its growth, and has just introduced a new agency commission structure.

Effective December 1, 2020, the airline is offering 4% standard agency commission on all published fares for regional flights from South Africa.

Charmaine Thomé, gm of Aviareps South Africa, which represents Proflight Zambia in the SA market, said the airline valued travel professionals and understood the importance of the segment, now more than ever, and was reliant on the support of its travel trade partners. “We are certain that this commission level will help many of our partners to continue increasing products that highlight the Zambian region.”

Proflight Zambia offers daily fights between Johannesburg and Lusaka on a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ 100, with a 30kg baggage allowance.
