Emirates to resume UK flights after 'indefinite' suspension
Emirates will begin resuming passenger flights from London Heathrow and Manchester to Dubai from February 2, days after services were suspended "indefinitely".
Dubai is an important thoroughfare for Australians looking to return home from the UK, particularly those who have been granted seats on a federally-assisted repatriation flight. In an update on its website, Emirates said customers looking to leave the UK should be aware of quarantine arrangements that may face them at their destination.
"From 2 February 2021, we will operate passenger flights to Dubai from London Heathrow and Manchester," Emirates said in a notice.
"Customers seeking to leave the UK on these services should ensure that they are authorised to travel under the latest UK government rules, and meet the travel requirements of their final destination." Three days ago, on January 29, Emirates suspended all of its flights between the United Kingdom and Australia indefinitely, after the UK government banned air travel with the United Arab Emirates.
