Tanzania: Auric Air takes delivery of its first Dash 8 Tanzania: Auric Air takes delivery of its first Dash 8

Founded in 2001, Auric Air is a small private company operating with around ten planes from its bases in Mwanza, Dar-es-Salaam and Arusha in Tanzania. The carrier offers scheduled flights as well as non-scheduled private charter flights on demand.

Auric Air is continuing its fleet densification plan. The Tanzanian safari flight specialist has received its first Dash 8-100. The plane (msn 537) is the property of the Canadian rental company Avmax Group. With this new acquisition, the transporter will strengthen its fleet, which so far included around ten aircraft comprising Cessna Grand Caravan C208B and Cessna Grand Caravan EX.

From its three bases, Auric Air offers regular flights to some of Tanzania's most remote and inaccessible destinations. Before the health crisis, it carried around 10,000 passengers per month. Outside the country, Auric Air also offers flights to Kigali (Rwanda), Mirogi (Kenya), Moroni (Comoros) and Entebbe (Uganda).
