Kenya Airways suspends scheduled flights with India
In accordance with the Government of Kenya's directive on travel between India and Kenya, we are suspending our passenger flights until further notice.
We look forward to serving you on this route in the future.
Valid until further notice, this suspension is fully in line with the Government of Kenya's directive on travel between India and Kenya. Indeed, India is facing a humanitarian disaster caused by a new wave of Covid-19. Since last March, the daily contamination rate has only increased and today we deplore more than 300,000 cases of infection per day and a mortality of more than 2,000 people since April 22. To date, the country has recorded more than 18.8 million cases of contamination, including nearly 208,330 deaths. Nevertheless, the Kenyan flagship informs that through its cargo subsidiary, it will continue its operations of delivering emergency supplies, including pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, to Kenya and across Africa. Yet another blow to the cash flow of the carrier, in the process of nationalization, which has since somehow diversified its sources of income after a catastrophic year 2020.
