Cabo Verde Airlines: the State ejects the Icelanders and renationalises the airline

In line with the IMF's recommendations, Cape Verde had begun, in 2019, a disinvestment plan in several public companies including its airline Cabo Verde Airlines.

But two years later, the State is backtracking against a backdrop of acrimonious tensions with Lofleidir Cabo Verde, the majority shareholder and 70/30 joint venture between the Loftleidir Icelandic group and other Icelandic investors.
