British Airways to increase flights to South Africa
The flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, British Airways, has announced that it will increase its service between Heathrow Airport (LHR) in London and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg.
Effective 16 August 2021 the airline will operate two instead of just one weekly flight on that route. Flights will depart London for Johannesburg on Thursdays and Saturdays, while the return flights will depart Johannesburg for London on Wednesdays and Sundays. According to British Airways, the bi-weekly service will remain in place until 30 August 2021. From 31 August 2021 until 27 September 2021 the airline is planning to operate daily flights between London and Johannesburg.
