Royal Caribbean plans to have full fleet back in service by May, 2022 Royal Caribbean plans to have full fleet back in service by May, 2022

Royal Caribbean International plans to have all 25 of its cruise ships back in service by spring next year as it prepares for the second phase of its cruise resumption program. Royal Caribbean currently has 12 cruise ships back in service, sailing from Galveston in Texas, Port Canaveral and Miami in Florida, Seattle in Washington, Singapore, Cyprus and Spain, but plans to bring another 13 ships into service by May next year.

Throughout August and September, Royal Caribbean will mark the second phase of its cruise restart, with another five cruise ships due to resume cruising. Anthem of the Seas will return to service with roundtrip cruises from Southampton in the UK (a cruise season that was recently extended by Royal Caribbean following England’s relaxation of international travel rules).

Allure of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas will all return to cruising in September from Florida, visiting ports in the Caribbean. Allure of the Seas will sail roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Odyssey of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale and Symphony of the Seas from Miami.

Oasis of the Seas, meanwhile, will homeport at Cape Liberty in New Jersey, sailing roundtrip cruises to Bermuda or Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The cruise line plans to steadily bring more ships into service throughout the year.

Navigator of the Seas will begin a season of West Coast itineraries from Los Angeles on November 19th, sailing 3-, 4- and 5-night cruises to Catalina Island, California and Mexico.

Ovation of the Seas will head back to Australia on December 13th to sail domestic cruises from Sydney, and Grandeur of the Seas will cruise from Bridgetown, Barbados on 7- and 14-night sailings from December 5th.

“We are excited and appreciative to be able to say with confidence when all of our ships will return, especially for travelers looking ahead to plan their getaways,” said Michael Bayley, President & CEO, Royal Caribbean International.

“More than 110,000 guests have cruised with us since December, and they’ve done so safely while enjoying the memorable vacations they trust we’ll bring to life,” he added.

“It’s been incredible to see families come together again on board our ships sailing in the U.S., the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. And to know we’ll soon welcome more in a safe manner when our entire fleet is back by spring 2022 is wonderful.”
