Emirates: Negative PCR test required for transit in Dubai for South Africans
The largest airline of the United Arab Emirates and the flag carrier of the Emirate of Dubai, Emirates, has released an update about passengers travelling from South Africa in order to transit in Dubai. According to the airline, passengers travelling from South Africa must complete all the requirements of their specific destination and present a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate for a test taken not more than 72 hours before the date of travel. Passengers are required to wear protective equipment (i.e. mask) upon entering the airport terminal and comply with sanitisation and social distancing measures as per the relevant health protocols on safety and prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
A temperature test is also getting performed at the terminal entrance. Passengers must provide a negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate with a QR code from one of the following facilities in South Africa:
