Air Senegal will fly to the New York and Baltimore/Washington areas
Air Senegal will begin U.S. service on Sept. 2. The carrier will fly twice weekly between Dakar and Baltimore, with a stop at New York JFK.
The state-owned airline launched operations in 2018 and has replaced the defunct Senegal Airlines.
Air Senegal will service New York and Baltimore with an Airbus A330-900neo configured with 32 lie-flat business class seats, 21 premium economy seats and 237 economy class seats. Flight times are scheduled to facilitate onward connections from Dakar to the Ivory Coast, Mali, Guinea, the Gambia, Sierra Leone and Mauritania.
The carrier will compete on Dakar-JFK with Delta and will be the lone airline servicing the greater Washington/Baltimore area from Senegal.
