Air Arabia makes Uganda its 4th destination in East Africa
In 2016, Air Arabia had expressed interest in making Uganda one of its key markets in East Africa. 5 years later, the budget carrier is returning being more confident.
From October 10, Air Arabia will inaugurate its new service to Uganda. On that date, the low-cost carrier will now offer three flights a week between Sharjah and Entebbe.
On the outbound leg, the flights will depart from Sharjah on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 09:00 and land in Entebbe at 13:35. In the opposite direction, flights will leave Uganda at 14:15 and arrive in the United Arab Emirates at 21:00. The route will be operated without competition by Airbus A320.
On the occasion of its new service, Air Arabia will offer free Covid-19 insurance coverage to its passengers. The insurance will be automatically included at the time of booking.
In East Africa, Air Arabia already serves Sudan, Kenya and Somaliland. On the continent, it also has two subsidiaries in Morocco and Egypt.
It should be noted that shortly before its arrival, Uganda Airlines will also start a new route to the United Arab Emirates. From October 4, the Ugandan public airline will connect Entebbe to Dubai, three times a week by Airbus A330neo.
