Taag Angola Airlines re-launches its Luanda - Kinshasa
Weakened by the health crisis, TAAG Angola Airlines wants to get back to health. The Angolan national airline plans to re-launch all its African services by the end of the year.
Taag Angola Airlines continues to revive its pre-pandemic services. In a recent communiqué to its customers, the Angolan national flagship confirmed the re-launch of its flights to Kinshasa in the DRC from 17 October 2021.
The carrier plans to operate two weekly rotations between its Luanda base and Kinshasa on Thursdays and Sundays.
To date, in addition to its domestic services, TAAG has resumed its commercial flights to Lisbon in Portugal and São Paulo in Brazil. But also to Johannesburg in South Africa. It has also announced on its official Facebook page the opening of reservations for the imminent resumption of flights to Lagos, Windhoek, Cape Town, Maputo.
To cover these routes, the company can count on its fleet being modernized. Earlier this month, it took delivery of the fourth of six Dash8-400s contracted for 2019. In addition to the turboprops, TAAG Angola Airlines' fleet also includes five Boeing 737-700s, three 777-200s and five 777-300s.
