British Airways strengthens Mauritius with new seasonal service from Heathrow
For the winter season, airlines are beefing up their offerings to meet peak season demand to warmer parts of the world. British Airways is no exception.
British Airways is increasing its services to Mauritius. On Wednesday 3 November, the carrier launched its new seasonal route from Heathrow. From now on, the British flag carrier will offer three weekly rotations - on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays - from London-Heathrow. On this leg, operated by Dreamliner, the British national airline will meet Air Mauritius, which offers five weekly rotations to Heathrow this winter.
According to the schedule, the flights will leave Heathrow at 9pm and arrive at Port Louis-Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport at 12.55am the following day. Return flights will leave the island on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10.40pm and land at 6.50am at London Heathrow.
With this addition, British Airways now serves the Indian Ocean island nation every day of the week (except Tuesdays) including its existing weekly Gatwick service with an extension to Johannesburg, South Africa.
