Kenya only wants vaccinated travellers
The tightening should come into effect at the beginning of the Christmas holidays.
Kenya wants to be the first country in Africa to introduce access restrictions for unvaccinated people. The Ministry of Health announced this on Sunday. The final vote is still missing, but if it is up to the government and health authorities, Europeans will have to provide complete proof of vaccination in addition to a negative PCR test for entry from December 21st. The tightening of the rules shortly before Christmas should prevent a rapid increase in the number of infections.
In addition, access to authorities, hotels or national parks should only apply to people who have been proven to be vaccinated. According to the announced new rules, flight attendants and pilots, bus drivers, taxi drivers and drivers of motorcycle taxis must then be demonstrably fully vaccinated against Corona.
