Voco opening its first hotel in Africa
Voco, an IHG hotel, will open its doors Feb. 1 in the trendy Rosebank district of Johannesburg. The hotel is situated a short walk from the Gautrain station and major corporate offices like Standard Bank and BP, surrounded by galleries, gourmet restaurants and buzzing nightlife, with global brands in the adjoining Rosebank Mall.
Voco The Bank Johannesburg Rosebank prides itself on its arty vibe and its relaxed design. The name of the brand has its roots in Latin and means "to invite" or to "come together." The spacious rooms offer thoughtful Voco details, such as Nespresso coffee machines and oversized bathrooms, plus WiFi and 24/7 in-room dining. The hotel also features a full gym, a trendy restaurant and bar as well as flexible meetings and event spaces at Workshop17.
The Rosebank Voco will be the brand's first outpost in Africa. There are Voco hotels in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.
