Camair-Co booste sa flotte avec deux A320 pris en leasing
Camair-Co boosts its fleet with two A320s leased
The two 180-seater aircraft have been leased from Danish Air Transport (msn 839, OY-RUZ) and Moldova's HiSky (msn 6513, YR-JOY) respectively, while the short-term lease for the second aircraft has been arranged and negotiated by Skyworld Aviation.
Ch-aviation's advanced fleet module indicates that the first is owned by the lessor AerCap while the second is owned by Blackbird Capital (but managed by Air Lease Corporation).Since January 3, these aircraft have been deployed mainly on the domestic network, notably on the Douala, Yaounde, Bafoussam and Garoua services.
In a flyer distributed on social networks, the Cameroonian company, whose privatization process is announced since 2020, praises its charter services during this competition. "The simplest charter solution for transporting delegations of supporters and sportsmen during the CAN TotalEnergies in Cameroon. Companies, tour operators, travel agencies... choose the programme that suits you best and have your favourite team's supporters travel with confidence, directly to the city hosting the match," says Camair Co.
In addition to the A320s, the active fleet of the carrier - Cameroon's second most indebted public company - currently includes two newly acquired Dash8-400s as well as two Embraer 135s (TJ-KMK and TJ-AKK) leased from private Equatorial Guinean carrier Cronos Airlines. Its inactive fleet consists of two MA60s, which are being considered for assignment to cargo operations; two 737-700s, one of which (registration TJ-QCA) was sent to Ethiopian Airlines for maintenance in April 2021; and a long-haul 767-300 abandoned in Addis Ababa since 2018.
