Air Peace, Nigeria's largest airline, has about 30 aircraft, mainly Boeing and Embraer. Since the end of last year, the company has been expanding its fleet to keep up with growing demand.

Air Peace continues to grow its fleet. The Nigerian private airline took delivery of two Airbus A320s (MSN 3425, 3361) on Tuesday. This is part of a lease agreement with SmartLynx Airlines Malta. Last November, the Nigerian carrier and the charter specialist (subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group) had already contracted two other A320s placed under ACMI. Their lease runs until 11 May 2022.

These aircraft are mainly deployed to strengthen domestic and regional connectivity, says the carrier, which intends to "respond to the growing demand for travel in Nigerian markets and more broadly in West Africa".As a reminder, Air Peace currently serves 19 domestic routes, 6 regional routes and 2 international destinations, including Johannesburg, and has a varied fleet of about thirty aircraft. This year, the carrier is expecting new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, of which five have already been received. Its order book includes 13 aircraft, with purchase rights for a further 17 for a total value (purchase rights exercised) of USD 2.2 billion. This is in addition to ten Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
