Consumer intent to travel; hesitancy remains despite restrictions lifting
Following last week's announcement that all COVID-19 travel restrictions are now removed in the UK, LoopMe has new data on consumer intent to travel, which reveals 69% of UK consumers are still hesitant or somewhat hesitant about travelling since the pandemic.
The data, from research conducted in March 2022, also shows that consumers aged 55-64 years are most likely to book a UK staycation, with one in two still hesitant about travelling since the pandemic.
LoopMe surveyed 1,478 UK consumers on 16-19 March 2022 to understand intent to travel this year. We also analysed the type of holiday consumers are most likely to book, how they intend to travel and whether consumers are still hesitant to travel since the pandemic.
