Royal Air Maroc returns to Miami in mid-April, Boston in sight for 2023 Royal Air Maroc returns to Miami in mid-April, Boston in sight for 2023

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is gradually returning to its pre-pandemic network. The Moroccan national flag is now working to increase its transatlantic offer.

"We will reopen in Miami on 15 April and hopefully in Boston next year. And we have other plans," said CEO Abdelhamid Addou in an interview with Aerotelegraph.

To the US, RAM currently connects New York JFK (six flights a week) and Washington (three flights a week) from Casablanca. It also offers a daily rotation every weekday to Montreal in Canada.

A member of the Oneworld alliance since 2020, RAM directly connects more than 80 destinations worldwide, making it one of the most dynamic networks on the continent. Transfers to Africa account for a third of its global network. "We hope that business will return to normal so that we can open more new routes.

In the wake of the recovery, the Moroccan flag opened its new route to Tel Aviv in Israel on 13 March.

It also aims to re-establish its pre-health crisis European network by this summer with the resumption of temporarily suspended services such as Berlin and Munich. In Germany, RAM currently only flies from Frankfurt to Casablanca and from Düsseldorf to Nador.  "For France, we will open many more routes between cities outside Casablanca and cities outside Paris. In Europe, the company already serves the UK, Belgium, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Turkey. Its service to Russia - a country in armed conflict with Ukraine - has been suspended since last month. The market share between Europe and Africa is about 80% of the company's total traffic, says the CEO.
