2022 Africa’s Travel Indaba: Ghanaian Tour Operators ready for business
A selected group from the Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) have already touched down in Durban in readiness for this year’s Africa’s Travel Indaba which takes place from May 2 – 5 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, South Africa.
The group which comprises 15 buyers is led by TOUGHA President, Mrs. Alisa Osei-Asamoah. Apart from the main exhibitions, the hosted buyers will have the chance to tour some sites and attractions in a post-event familiarization trip. Mrs. Osei-Asamoah says they are business ready.
“It’s great to be part of this year’s Africa’s Travel Indaba knowing
the opportunities it offers for us as tour operators to do business and
make very important connections. A big platform like this always enables
us to cast our nets wide in terms of getting new clients. For some of
us who are attending the event for the first time, I know this will be
crucial to establish important business relationships.
“I am also particularly happy that we get to sample the tourism products afterwards in order to inform the kind of tour packages we should be putting together for our clients,” she added.
After a two-year hiatus due to Coronavirus, Africa Travel Indaba returns with South African Tourism promising exhibitors and buyers a great event. Although the format of the event is a hybrid one, organisers are hoping for a more physical presence of participants. This is partly to inject boost confidence as the events’ industry rebounds.
