Air Senegal adds Accra to its regional network
Air Senegal continues to expand its sub-regional network. In addition to densifying its offer on existing routes, the public airline is looking at new markets. Its arrival in Ghana, a country of more than 31 million inhabitants, is part of this perspective.
Air Senegal will land in Accra, Ghana in the third quarter of 2022. From 2 September next, the Senegalese national airline will offer four weekly flights between its Dakar hub and the Ghanaian capital, with direct connections.
The flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On this corridor, operated without competition, Air Senegal will use its Airbus A319 fleet. The aircraft can accommodate up to 120 passengers, including 18 in business class.
Flight HC305 will leave Dakar at 4pm and arrive in Accra at 7.10pm. On the return leg, flight HC306 will leave Ghana at 20:20 and return to its base at 23:30.
The new service will offer convenient connections via Dakar in both directions to New York, Baltimore/Washington DC, Milan and Casablanca.
In West Africa, Air Senegal already serves Nouakchott, Praia, Banjul, Bissau, Conakry, Freetown, Abidjan and Cotonou. Its network continues in Central Africa with Douala and Libreville. In North Africa, the carrier connects Casablanca to Morocco. Its services outside Africa include France (Paris, Marseille, Lyon), Italy (Milan), Spain (Barcelona) and the US (New York, Washington Baltimore). Its fleet includes two ATR72-600s, two A319s, two A321s, two A330s in addition to an A220-300 and a leased A340.
