Airlink increases flights to Angola Airlink increases flights to Angola

Airlink inaugurated its service to Luanda in October 2021. At its launch, the South African carrier aimed to capitalise on the growing business and leisure tourism sector between Angola and South Africa.

From 15 July, the carrier will introduce a fourth weekly flight. The additional service will be operated on Fridays, using Embraer 190 aircraft.

On this new frequency, the outbound flight 4Z044 will depart Johannesburg at 13:30 and land in Luanda at 16:15. On the return leg, flight 4Z045 will depart from the Angolan capital at 17:10 and land in Johannesburg at 21:45.

Airlink currently connects the two cities at the same times on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, but with Embraer E170 aircraft, and competes on this route with TAAG Angola Airlines and CemAir.

Airlink is the largest airline in Southern Africa. With a fleet of some 40 all-Embraer aircraft, it serves more than 45 destinations in 13 countries in East and Southern Africa, in addition to St. Helena.
