La low-cost saoudienne Flyadeal inaugure Khartoum, sa 2e desserte en Afrique
Flyadeal inaugurated its new service to Khartoum in Sudan on Thursday 23 June. The Saudi low-cost carrier now offers two daily rotations from Jeddah and Riyadh respectively.
The flights are operated on five days of the week, from Wednesday to Sunday. Flyadeal lines up its A320ceo/neo fleet there, configured in a single class of 186 seats.
"The addition of Khartoum airport to the network and its connection to two major hubs in Riyadh and Jeddah will provide new cost-effective flights that will benefit Sudanese Umrah pilgrims, in addition to supporting air traffic between the two countries," said Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, Flyadeal's deputy managing director for commercial and customer services.
On these two routes, Saudi Arabian Airlines' low-cost subsidiary (Saudia) is competing with Flynas, Saudia and two Sudanese carriers, Tarco Aviation and Badr Airlines.
Khartoum becomes de facto Flyadeal's second African destination after Cairo. Sharm el-Sheikh is also on its 2022 summer schedule, along with Amman (Jordan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi and Batumi (Georgia).
