Air Mauritius returns to Cape Town
South Africa is an important niche market for the Mauritian tourism sector. Since the lifting of travel restrictions between the two countries at the end of 2021, the demand is there and Air Mauritius wants to take advantage of it.
Air Mauritius has announced the resumption of its flights to Cape Town. From 16 November, the Mauritian national airline will offer two weekly rotations between Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport and South Africa's second international hub.
According to the schedule, departures from Mauritius will be at 4.15pm and arrivals at 8.20pm local time. In the opposite direction, returns from Cape Town are scheduled for 10.05pm, arriving on Mauritian soil at 5.10am the following day. Air Mauritius will have no competition on this route, which it will serve with its mixed A350/A330neo fleet.
