During this summer period, TAAG Angola Airlines, the Angolan national airline, has seen an increase in demand on some of its routes.

The TAAG Angola Airlines network will benefit from additional flights in the coming days and weeks. The carrier announced this on Wednesday 10 August 2022. Thus, from the 13th of this month, the Luanda - Cabinda route will increase from 24 to 26 weekly connections, with additional flights operated on Saturdays and Sundays, with Boeing 737-700 aircraft with 120 seats (12 in business class and 108 in economy).

Luanda - Maputo (Mozambique), served with the same aircraft, will benefit from an extra trip (Sunday), increasing from 3 to 4 round trips per week, from 2 October. On the same day, Windhoek (Namibia) will be increased from 4 to 5 weekly flights (additional flight on Sunday), operated by Dash 8-400 with 74 seats (10 in business class and 64 in economy). From 5 November, Sao Paulo/Guarulhos(Brazil) will be increased from 3 to 4 weekly services (additional flight on Saturday), operated by the 289-seat Boeing 777-300ER (8 business, 53 premium and 228 economy).

"With this increase in flights, TAAG is responding positively to the expectations of its passengers and to market demand indicators. The aircraft are allocated to each destination according to the type of flight and the usual volume of passengers and cargo on these routes. Overall, we have seen an increase in demand for flights to Portuguese-speaking countries (Mozambique and Brazil) and Southern Africa (Namibia), in addition to Cabinda, one of the most popular domestic Angolan destinations to and from the country's capital," the company explains.
