23 African countries attended FITUR 2023 23 African countries attended FITUR 2023

A total of twenty-three (23) countries from Africa participated in this year’s FITUR in Madrid, Spain.

Participation from these countries will include state tourism ministries, boards, private sector businesses, organisations and individual travel and tourism stakeholders.

Fitur is a global benchmark event in the tourism sector connecting thousands of industry stakeholders from around the world. Fitur 2023 featured well over 8,000 exhibiting companies and 82,000 trade participants with a guaranteed general public of 30,000.

The West African Monetary and Economic Union (UEMOA) held a special event for its member states as part their participation in this year’s event.

The participating countries include Benin, Burkina Faso, Botswana, Carbo Verde, Congo DRC, Egypt, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, and Ghana. Others are: Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Tunisia Namibia, Niger, and Seychelles. The rest are Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
