Discover Airlines is enhancing its route network by introducing a new non-stop flight from Frankfurt to the Seychelles, set to commence in winter 2025. This quality leisure airline will operate two flights per week, with the inaugural journey scheduled for October 26, 2025. This development marks a significant expansion in the limited direct connections available from Germany to this sought-after tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean. The Seychelles, consisting of 115 islands, is famed for its stunning white sandy beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, and striking granite formations. Visitors can expect to encounter a rich diversity of flora and fauna, alongside some of the world's premier diving and snorkeling locations.
Seychelles and Mauritius: Two Idyllic Indian Ocean Getaways
Flights to the Seychelles will depart from Frankfurt on Tuesdays and Sundays at 9:55 PM, arriving at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) at 10:45 AM the following day, following a flight duration of approximately ten hours. The return flights will also be scheduled as night flights, maximizing travelers' enjoyment of their time in this tropical haven. Additionally, the new route will feature onward connections from the Seychelles to nearby Mauritius, optimizing arrival and departure schedules. Travelers heading to Mauritius will see their arrival time shift from the early morning to midday, and return flights will transition from daytime to night, allowing for an extended stay. To further enhance flexibility, Discover Airlines plans to introduce an extra direct flight between Frankfurt and Mauritius next winter. By adding the Seychelles to its offerings, Discover Airlines not only broadens its selection of dream destinations in the Indian Ocean but also incorporates a location into the Lufthansa Group portfolio that was previously accessible only through its sister airline, Edelweiss, from Zurich.
