AI in Nigeria has announced the upcoming InnovateAI Lagos 2025 conference, themed “Scaling AI Adoption in Nigeria: Catalysing Cross-Sectoral Innovation and Fostering Inclusive Growth,” which is set for February 21, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.

This event marks the second edition of the annual conference, building on the success of its inaugural year. The conference aims to unite African diaspora investors, business leaders, and global institutions to discuss ways to enhance Nigeria's economic potential through AI. Co-convener Dotun Adeoye noted that the previous conference engaged over 4,000 participants and sparked significant dialogue about collaboration and innovation.

This year, the event is expected to attract over 6,000 attendees, featuring both in-person participation and live-streaming to 12 community hubs nationwide. Ehia Erhaboh, another co-convener, emphasized that this summit is not merely a conference but a movement to deliver actionable outcomes that address Nigeria's pressing challenges through AI.

InnovateAI Lagos 2025 will include sessions on “AI and the Future of Work,” highlighting how AI influences skills and recruitment trends. Companies will showcase their initiatives, connecting skilled professionals with potential employers in the AI space. The event aims to bridge the gap between skill development and practical application of AI in sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and finance. Attendees can expect discussions on building a sustainable AI infrastructure, with speakers from leading firms and experts in various fields. The conference will also focus on reskilling the workforce and developing ethical governance frameworks to strengthen Nigeria's position in the global AI landscape. Registration for InnovateAI Lagos 2025 is free but required to secure attendance.
