Emirates and Air Peace Expand Interline Agreement, Unlocking New African and Global Connections Emirates and Air Peace Expand Interline Agreement, Unlocking New African and Global Connections

Emirates has further strengthened its presence in Africa by deepening its interline partnership with Air Peace, a move set to transform travel options between West and Central Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. The newly enhanced agreement allows passengers to book seamless, single-ticket journeys with through-checked baggage across select routes operated by both airlines, significantly streamlining the travel experience.

This expanded collaboration builds on Emirates’ existing access to 13 Nigerian cities through Air Peace and introduces convenient connections to new gateways, such as Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan, as well as Freetown and Monrovia via Accra. The strengthening of these networks not only broadens the reach of Emirates’ global operations but also provides African travellers with easier access to Dubai and a host of onward destinations across the globe.

Through this interline arrangement, Air Peace is now able to feed its extensive regional network directly into Emirates’ Dubai hub. This creates new opportunities for passengers to connect to major international markets, including London Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted, as well as key African cities such as Lagos, Accra, and Abidjan. With strong demand for travel between Nigeria and the UK, the agreement offers enhanced flexibility, choice, and reach for travellers seeking both business and leisure connections.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted that the expanded partnership underlines Emirates’ long-term commitment to Africa. He emphasised that the collaboration enables customers to “fly better with Emirates” and supports the development of tourism, trade, and aviation not just in Nigeria but across the wider region, leveraging Lagos as a strategic gateway.

On its Dubai–Lagos route, Emirates operates the Boeing 777-300ER, renowned for delivering a premium onboard experience. Passengers can enjoy regionally inspired cuisine, a diverse beverage selection, and access to more than 6,500 entertainment channels through the airline’s acclaimed ice system, which includes popular Nollywood content. Emirates also stands out as one of only two airlines offering First Class service into Nigeria, reinforcing its reputation for comfort, privacy, and luxury at the top end of the market.

For Air Peace, the agreement is a strategic step in its mission to link Africa more effectively to global markets. By combining its robust regional footprint with Emirates’ vast international network, Air Peace enhances its role as a key connector between the continent and the rest of the world. This partnership promises greater convenience, expanded options, and improved connectivity for African travellers while supporting the continued growth of the continent’s aviation and tourism sectors.

For Africa’s travel industry, the deepened interline relationship between Emirates and Air Peace is a notable development. It opens up new opportunities for agents and operators to deliver integrated itineraries, facilitates smoother travel for business and leisure customers, and highlights the importance of strategic airline partnerships in driving the future of African aviation.
