Safarilink operations resume on July 15
Flights to Kitale remain suspended as the Kenya Airport Authority has closed the airfield for repairs, maintenance and upgrades. Kisumu flights will operate initially six times a week while services to Lodwar will restart with three flights a week.
Morning flights to the Masai Mara, where the migration is presently underway and where for once Kenyans will not need to compete with foreign tourists over aircraft seats and beds in lodges and camps, will resume too on the 15th though landings and take offs from some fields now require a minimum passenger load. The Ngerende air strip is reportedly closed due to the cessation of operations of the camp there.
There may be some initial restrictions for afternoon services and the airline’s reservations department will be happy to respond to any enquiries as to timings or load requirements – the new schedule will be published via www.flysafarilink.com in due course.
